Custom Blessing Box Build in Knoxville | Knoxville Home Improvements
Sometimes, it’s not just about wood and nails—it’s about heart. When Piney Grove Baptist Church reached out with a special request, we knew this wasn’t your typical job. They needed more than just a box. They needed a way to give back.
A Special Request with a Big Purpose
The team at Piney Grove Baptist Church had a vision: a large, accessible blessing box where members of the community could pick up food and household necessities 24/7. They were looking for something sturdy, functional, and good-looking, something that showed care in its craftsmanship and design.
And they needed it all for under $1,000.

Building More Than Just a Box
We got to work planning a custom build that matched both the vision and the budget. Here's what went into it:
Solid, weather-resistant wood to handle Knoxville's changing seasons
Elevated legs and a pitched roof for protection from ground moisture and rain
Clean lines and simple trim for a professional, welcoming look
Clear front doors so visitors can easily see what's inside
We took extra care during the build phase, ensuring not only a strong frame but also visual appeal because even a box meant for essentials should feel dignified.
Why It Worked | Function Meets Compassion
Our design wasn’t just about structure, it was about use. The transparent doors make it easy to check for supplies. The roof ensures contents stay dry. And most importantly, it’s big enough to hold plenty of goods while still being easy to access.
This custom blessing box is now a quiet but powerful resource for anyone in need, and it’s already serving its purpose well.
Final Results | A Thoughtful Touch for the Knoxville Community
The finished blessing box now stands just outside the church, stocked and ready. It fits the surroundings perfectly sturdy, clean, and inviting. More than just a weekend project, this build became a small but meaningful part of a bigger mission.
We’re proud to have contributed something that blends construction skills with community support.
